Cube Commerce Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Cube Commerce (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit cubecommerce.pro, create an account, or use our Squarespace social proof plugin. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@cubecommerce.pro.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you register with email, we process the email address, account profile details you provide, and authentication information needed to create and secure your account. Authentication records and session credentials are handled through our authentication provider, Supabase; account profile information is stored with your Cube Commerce account.

Google sign-in

If you choose to sign in with Google, we request only basic identity information: your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile picture, where provided by Google and authorized by you. We use it to create and authenticate your Cube Commerce account, maintain your account profile, and provide related support. Our authentication and storage provider processes that information on our behalf as described below.

Basic Google sign-in does not request access to Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Calendar events, or Google Contacts. It does not supply store orders or social proof content. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or use it to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We will explain the permissions and data use before requesting authorization and update this policy if these data practices change.

Store and order information

When you connect a Squarespace store, we process its connection credentials and store information to retrieve orders. If you upload an order CSV, we process its contents to import orders. Order records used by the widget include order identifiers, purchase dates, customer first names, and product names. Data returned by Squarespace or included in an uploaded file may contain additional purchase or customer information.

Billing, support, and usage information

We process subscription and billing information needed to manage your plan. Stripe processes payments and may provide us with billing contact details, subscription status, and payment information needed to administer your subscription. We also receive information you send when you contact support.

We collect page views, page interactions, and visitor counts to operate and improve the service. Our analytics uses a visitor identifier stored in browser local storage or, when signed in, an identifier associated with your Cube Commerce account. Hosting and service providers may also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, and request logs to deliver and secure the service.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• Create and authenticate accounts and maintain sign-in sessions.
• Connect your store, import orders, and display recent purchase notifications in your social proof widget.
• Provide account settings, order management, visitor reporting, and subscription management.
• Respond to support requests and communicate about your account or service changes.
• Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, protect the service, and understand use of its features.

If Cube Commerce receives information from Google APIs, its use and transfer of that information will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable.

3. Sharing and disclosure

We share information as needed to deliver the service:

• Authentication and storage: Supabase processes authentication, account records, and application data on our behalf.
• Hosting and operations: Our hosting and infrastructure providers process requests and application data needed to run and secure Cube Commerce.
• Billing: Stripe processes payments and subscription transactions.
• Analytics: Our analytics service processes usage events and visitor or Cube Commerce account identifiers.
• Your storefront: When you enable the widget, recent purchase information, including customer first names and product names, can be displayed to visitors on your site.
• Legal and security needs: We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to investigate abuse or protect users and the service.

We do not sell personal information or use it to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

4. Storage and security

Account and application records are stored using our service infrastructure, including Supabase. We use HTTPS for the public website and authentication flows, and account access controls to restrict access to account data. Authentication uses session credentials stored in browser cookies. Access to connected-store credentials is restricted to the service functions that need them.

No transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials and contact support if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Store and order information is retained as needed to provide your widget and account features. Billing, security, and support records may be retained longer when needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or administer the service.

To request access, correction, or deletion of your account and associated store data, email support@cubecommerce.pro from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request. We delete information that is no longer needed, subject to legal retention requirements and records necessary for the purposes above.

Google sign-in identity information is retained with your account under the same retention and deletion rules. You can revoke authorization through your Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized access; it does not itself delete information already stored in Cube Commerce. You can request deletion of that information through the support address above.

6. Cookies and browser storage

We use authentication cookies to maintain sign-in sessions and browser local storage for analytics visitor identifiers. You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings, although doing so may affect sign-in and other features.

7. Changes to this policy

We update this page and its “Last updated” date when our practices change. If we change how we use Google user data, we will notify affected users and obtain additional consent when required before using their data for a new purpose.
